Hello! I’m Chathurika Weerakoon — or simply Miss Chathu, as many of my students and their parents lovingly call me.
I’ve been a primary school teacher for over 13 years, working with young children in government schools across Sri Lanka. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of guiding hundreds of young children through the magical early years of learning. Along the way, I’ve learned one important truth:
Every child learns differently — and every parent wants the best for their child.
I started Learn With Chathu to share what I’ve learned in the classroom with families at home — so that even the busiest parents can feel confident helping their little ones learn, grow, and thrive.
I hold a:
🎓 National Diploma in Teaching (Specialized in Primary Education) from Ruwanpura National College of Education, and
🎓 Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Kelaniya.
